If you install it correctly, even a sliver of light won't pass through. These curtains are ugly as hell but aesthetics is not what you are after if you are looking for blackout curtains. Feel like entering a black hole.

I am really happy with the product. I live in a sun facing room and sun light was really bothering me since i am working from home due to covid-19. And due to sun light AC was also not effectively able to cool down the room temperature. Then i thought to change the curtains or do something for the balcony and i started to research about it and I found out about these curtains and which are thermal insulated room darkening black out curtains and this product has really solved my problem and now i really feel cozy and darkening in my room and it really worked for me for AC cooling as well. As the product has this quality of controlling the UV rays as well and I am just loving it due to dark and coziness in my room :)
