    The curtains are very effective at darkening the room. I didn't believe they could also cut noise, but they do. Ambient sound is muffled by around 70%. The material is of good quality and hangs well, has a satin look to it. The finish could be better-- stitching is not complete in some of the ties and there are a few loose threads at the hems. These are minor flaws. Overall excellent quality. I bought two shades of green to mix on the windows.
