    Using it from over a month, it will completely block the sunlight (there can be light from window edges if window is not fully covered) so works well for me. I had a monitor in front of window and sunlight was causing problem in focusing on screen. This is right thing for that only issue is material will form very small small holes like pixels due to heat up or something, try a non dark colour as the black one gets heated up quickly. But these holes don't look good if you look at them otherwise you won't have issues for the purpose of blocking the light.
